PI Discrimination?

Is it possible to discriminate by switching frequencies and compair the response for each frequency?
As if 4kHz gives the strongest response, you can assume it is aluminium.

PI doesn't work on frequency, the same way that VLF/IB designs do. PI works on decay rates. It is possible to do multiple decay sampling, to try to figure out more target info, but it's very crude.

People are working hard on figuring out a PI discriminator, I think it's just a matter of time.
