We are already aware of this project. It has been around for a number of years, and is a copy of a design by Chemelec.

        Ok Thanks
i posted it up as I thought someone might be interested, I'm very new to metal detectors and I'm trying to get my head around all the technical talk on Geotech, if you have any advice to assist me in building a metal detector that would be much appreciated.
        Regards

Look in the projects section of the forum.
The Minipulse Plus is well documented if you're new to metal detectors, and a new [corrected] version of Baracuda will be available very soon. The Surf-PI is another popular design, but has proven difficult for many constructors (despite its simplicity) because of lack of documentation.
PCBs for the most popular Geotech projects are available from www.silverdog.co.uk
You should also take a look at the main Geotech page, accessible by clicking on the "Geotech - Technology for Treasure Hunting" image at the top left. Then select Metal Detectors > Projects.
And (of course) there is ITMD -> Inside the METAL DETECTOR - Second Edition - Published 2015

            Thank you Qiaozhi
ive ordered MMP from silverdog and I've also bought "ITMD". Is there any special tools or measuring devices that you think I'll need to successfully complete the build? And am I better off buying a coil first up?
            Much Appreciated

You will need to have at least a multimeter (see if you can get one that is able to measure inductance), and [ideally] a 2-channel oscilloscope.
The MPP can use a simple mono coil, so it's not really critical that you buy a commercial one.

Sorry one more question, I bought the MPP RevD from silverdog, does it come complete with all the components or will I need to source other components?

                  Thanks again

I think the kit comes complete, but you should ask Silverdog directly if you have any questions.
