  • help with malysh pinpointer different pcb

    Hi all
i post a new thread from "schematic malysh" don t know if i can!!
the last reply was from "toros" trying to help me in this thread (schematics forum)

    i need help .
i make 5 different pcb of malysh pinpointer from the scheme and only one works!!!!( the grey pcb (3)
i ve made one long pcb to fit in 20mm water pipe with 12v A23 battery (it could be cool if it works but......)
i ve made an other that looks like a little to the propointer well known (last of ) with 9v battery but again don t work!!!!!
i dont know where is my mistake in routing,i ve flashed the pic with new firmware like toros advise me but nothing better (however the grey pcb works with this new firmware)
if someone could help me like toros made ,i ve made some metal detector and now i just need a handy pinpointer
if someone is interested by enclosure 3d files or pcb layout when it ll be working, i will give him gladly.
    thanks

Glad its working on you, i think i still have a chance, are you sure its working on the ground? I made 2 of this with differ version, on the table is good...on the ground is always ringing.

The one that's working. Have you tried it in the field. I built one years ago. Everything was fine in the house. Especially if the coil is kept still and a coin approaches it. However in the damp real earth it falsed all the time. Especially if turning the probe through 90 degrees around damp rocks. Suspect a better coil was needed but never did sort it out.

Dont put it in the box yet, try it above the ground, be ready to disappointed, but I hope you not...

I had to be very tired this night.

R1 and R5 must have a ground connection. If it is planned to do so by the switch, it lacks a connection on it.

I hope you did not connect the switch to the ground as I did on the drawing.
To respect the diagram, the two resistors must be permanently grounded.
After control, the rest of the PCB is good for me.

                      hi chevesne
                      hi all
                      hourra!!!!!
it s alive (like doctor frankestein say!!!) lol
it was simply my piezzo!!!!!!!!! and inverted polarity of led pin out GRRRRRRRR!!!!!! so it was deaf and blind.
it isnt not very stable but inside house there s a lot of EMI so before telling something wrong about it ,a have to test it in live condition ( have to make some things to make it beatifull before LOL)
i have unsoldered the shunt between one pin of the switch (the new one ) if not it continuousely make it beep.
send you some photo and tell you the result of my test soon
                      thanks all
thanks chevesne (here south france we call this fish "cabot" in reality this fish isn t very good to eat!!!! LOL better in electronic for sure)
have nice metal fishing ,sorry metal hunting
                      thanks again
