  • what do you think about that???

    hi all
    i ve found that
    http://cxema.my1.ru/publ/konstrukcii...e/100-1-0-4506
    simple desing ,perhaps not very strong in deph detection,we could perhaps changing too the display by 2x16 or 7 segments????

    look too the entire site ,there is lot of other metal detector scheme .some of them a known but i haven t already see some of them (thinks they are old desing ,perhaps bfo,or ib ???)
    thanks

    Google Translated but Can not figure how to down load Code. Can you post the Code ?

    I'll start with the history ... before digging the garden, one familiar person found coin 1600-hundredth year. And he says, they say, "would a metal detector ..." I'm not thinking, and breaking the Internet in search of the truth began to make their project, as it is literally on his knees. It is based on the idea of the Master KIT, called "Metal on the basis of frequency." In this article I want to introduce you to my project "Metal on the AVR microcontroller". The project is simple for independent production and contains a minimum of parts for normal operation of the device.

    The device has a sound indication of detected objects, and digital. The operating principle of the device is to count the period of several tens of pulses of the filtering value after passage of convention automatic reset correction and then output to the display. The device operates in a dynamic and a static mode with the ability to switch modes and coarsening of sensitivity in each of them. Of metal detector detects the air, away from the center of the search coil:

    * 1 penny coin ------------ 5cm;
    * Coin 5 kopecks ------------ 10cm;
    * Cover of conservation --25sm;
    * Metal bucket ---- ~ 45cm;

    Design:

    The printed circuit board is made of a metal detector-sided fiberglass foil by LUT (Laser technology of the iron . Connector for in-circuit programming I made directly on the board, so as not to shift to haul the microcontroller in order to avoid the broken and bent pins. Transistor KT3102 any letter index, it works in mode key, and the gain is not important, since the transistor can be replaced with another analogous N-P-N. ATmega8-16Mhz microcontroller can clocked from the internal RC-oscillator at the maximum frequency, and the speed in dynamic mode can significantly deteriorate, so I recommend all the same to put the quartz resonator. LED VD1

    - Red is used to display the power of 3 volts, although it can not make, and connect directly. The display works by 5V, but the long-term operation is not guaranteed. If you apply a 4 penlight batteries with a total voltage of 4.8V, the regulator 78L05 can not put, the capacitor C1 is naturally too. Condenser for the search coil should be used with a low TCC, it is desirable to supply tantalum. If no suitable capacitor value on the display will be very "jumping". I used a capacitor type "green flattened barrel" filled with something like a green epoxy adhesive. Tear it out of the Chinese radio (in my opinion). The capacity of the capacitor is not critical, recommended 0.01-0.05 uF, it depends on the search frequency of the sensor. Coil I was shaking in 3 liter jar 80-120 turns, wire 0.2-0.5 (also not critical). After winding the coils on the bank, he withdrew and shook her tightly with duct tape for rigidity. Then be sure to wind the top screen of a copper or aluminum foil. Winding should be no gap, with close fitting to each other turns. From the outlet of the screen is made of copper wire, which is then soldered to the minus power supply. The design of the search coil should be as hard, so I stuck my sawn in plastic water pipe, and additionally wrapped with tape.

    Fyuz-bit microcontroller to be programmed by an external clock crystal.
