  • Help with Surf Pi problem

    Hi all

A long time ago I built a Surf Pi which was ok but i fried my circuit.

However recently I stumbled across an Ebay seller who was selling prebuilt surf pi 1.2 boards so I purchased one and dug my previous build out to make a new detector.

I had the setup running ok with my coil but something seems to have gone wrong.

When I turn on my circuit I get a buzzing tone as you would expect an I can back that off using the first variable resistor. I leave my volume turned up.

I have check that i have set my offset voltage to 0 volts.

However when I waive coins etc across my coil there is no change. The buzzing is just constant or not there at all deepening on how I have set teh variable resistor.

The coil has worked previously so I am sure that is not the problem.

Can anyone please provide some debugging instructions? I don't know how to use a cro but I do have a basic multimeter handy.

    cheers Peter
