How it works

The Mine Kafon Drone operates in three phases, and it uses a separate robotic attachment for each one.

Mapper: Using a 3-D camera, GPS, and a computer, the drone maps the terrain, turning any given area into a precise grid.

Detector: Sensors and a retractable arm keep the metal detector 1.5 inches above the ground as it geotags mine locations.

Detonator: A gripper arm places a small, explosive detonator onto each mine. The drone then triggers the explosives remotely.

My personal opinion is that it would be much more useful to get rid of
all those who bury mines! By placing some of their evil dirt devices
inside their own homes as example! Because otherwise using mines
never will stop and why should innocent civilians make the dirt work ?!


and:

This will not work very good, especially not if its windy!
And if the coil of the drone touches the ground it makes: BOOOM!!


But this might be the real solution:
Placing some heavy weight below the drone on some bungee-cord
and then let it fly "high and low" over the field! Without metal-detector!

Or: The drone let fall a heavy metal-ball from 10 meters above the ground and
if it didn't has triggered the mine, the drone picks it up again and starts over.
As long as any mine didn't crash the drone or brought it down to earth.



MD-drones would detect also all kind of other metal!

Drones with little cams meanwhile are used by archaeologists in combination
with graphical software to create realistic virtual 3D models of antique sites
or buildings but not for detecting treasures or mines!

The cruel solution is to leave the mines where they are so they can kill
and mame further innocent children to show the whole world the bitter way
how disgusting and evil many countries who plant mines really are !!!

Or we can wait until the mines get destroyed by natural influences like water etc.
Sending soldiers, who wanna come as "heroes" fast into heaven, into mine-fields,
also would be an option but I guess there aren't enough of them available!
