I'm completely bum fuzzeled. I have 3 5900 di pros, two of which are the di pro plus. Those do not have volume controls.
Looking at the board, I can see where the volume control pot goes, and there is a jumper wire there, just like the 4900 volume control. All the other support resistors are there, and the values seem to match the schematic. There does not seem to be any board cuts or jumpers. Looking at the 6000 schematic, and the older 5900 schematic, I can see where the volume control is, and it is marked 100K. When put back together, the pot has no effect whatsoever.
This pot was pulled from a scrap 6000 series 3 board.
I removed the jumper on both the 4900 and one of the 5900 di pro pluses, and wired in a 100K pot into the 5900. much earlier I put the pot i the 4900 (used a larger pot, and it has only limited
control, but it does reduce the volume.
It makes no sense as to why the volume is not affected by the re-installation of a 100 K volume control pot.
Has anyone done this before, and what might I be missing?
