  • Pulse induction depth

I am new to pulse induction detectors. Is it true that detection in wet sand on the beach is greater than in air. thanks.

I don't know about that, but they work wonderfully where your VLF hardly works at all. There seems to be a practical limitation in wet sand as the walls of your hole will start caving in at some point. 9 or 10" seems to be the limit in the surf.

Like most detectors Damp ground enhances the signal. Unlike VLF , the PI is not as affected by the Salt or minerals .
