    Hi keith777.
My sinko board came with some basic instructions, including the pot descriptions. The first coil I made for it was the 50x30, cat5, 3 rounds. I think I settled a 480uH, with the last 2 strands joined but omitted.
Noise and signal (pots 1&2) are the most crucial to set right. Sens (3) Gain (4) The auto mode is a bit slow, but works OK and can be fine-tuned via the tune pot (5).
Sorry if this is incorrect, as I don't have the Sniffer at hand to reference.

noise is not noise. thats PULSE WIDTH. its variable from 150-200 to 450-500us. so this is DEPTH or SENS
just cause you tune the power of TX impulse - from minimum to maximum, like you feel to get the stability with a depth.

well i have eventually getting around to getting a enclosure for the Sniffer XR-71 DELTA PULSE circuit board that i bought off feebay a few months back. i took the Potentiometers off the board and relocated them because of the problem that they would have of the treads on them not being able to reach far enough through the front panel of the enclousre to put the washer and nut on. as i mentioned at the begining of this topic.

here is so photos of it completed. apart from i have yet to put some small holes in the plastic under the speaker.
all i need now is a compatable coil to go with it. as i said in an earlier post. the coil i am testing it with, dosn't work very well at all with it.

gooodd... but.... same problem - pots did not shielded. also i do not see that you shielded the box under PCB.

would it be ok to put some copper foil shielding tape stuck to the plastic base under the board. would that be suffisante.
how do you shield the Potentiometer.

                    many thanks in advance.
