hi all, i'm building the off resonance probe out of inside the metal detector, how well does it go together? are there any issues i should know about?.

If you have ITMD 1st Edition, then read note 2 (Technical Errors) here -> http://www.geotech1.com/forums/content.php?143-updates
These errors were corrected in the 2nd Edition, plus R1 was changed from a 3k3 fixed resistor to a 5k preset potentiometer. The R1 change was made to allow for component tolerances.
Q1 was also changed from BC212 to 2N3906, and the on-off switch from a DPDT type to SPST.
