For me, the two gates should be command together, that's why there are the 1k resistor. I don't understand the need of diodes on the gate but my electronic knowledge is a bit too small.
For the TINY version, i've noticed that pchela5 put the 1kohm resistors up to the diodes, that's why i can't see them.
The IRF7105 and the MURS diodes goes to 100°c in maybe 4 seconds. The direction of the diodes is OK and they give me 450mv in test with my multimeter. The IRF is also connected as it should.
    I test WITH the coil.

It is already late, and I try the google translator. You have to desolder and test D3 and D4. A mosfet does not conduct when it gets current, but as long as its gate is loaded. The diodes (D3, D4) have to discharge the gate path. If it does not, it comes to the short circuit.

Repto may i have the correct key layout, i think i create wrong one, its only show volume 3 after lcd start, and decrease on each restart.

You have to control key layout with the shematic but the key number don't seem to be the same.
I made my own with smd diodes, i've looked at tha quasar avr board to see the key number and i 've done
my own layout. I'll share it to you if you like when i'll be home. You should have a shortcut or maybe reverse switchs if you see
the menu on startup. They are easy to reverse, i always test the contact direction before placing cause i've already reverse few of them
several times (by reversing, i mean a 90° rotation).

Meh, only wrong diode orientation on key, all okay now, now coil making... Do you think its ok to use 0.25 and 0.8 wire, dont have 0.2 and 0.7

I havent made the Quasar but other detectors being a bit out the wire gauge has made no difference at all.

Out of size then, as long the freq and industance is accordance with the spec, i think.

Anyone know what is the proper industance? I just find the freq and turns only.

No idea. Seems you can adjust the parameters to alter the frequency. Which is best I don't know. The meaning gets lost when you translate from Russian to English.

                      Hi,
I still have the same problem. The Hexfet ans the MURS diode comes too hot as soon as the power is on.
Here is the picture of my board. There is no shortcut and i've already change the IRF7105 and the diodes few times.
If someone has an idea i will appreciate. Maybe i went through the nose on the face ...

The Anode from D9 is realy short to the 5V line, the Resistor R3 is touching the Ground Pin from C13.

Thanks for having a look but everything is connected correctly without shortcut.
                          I've already tested several times.
I put MURS240 diode, i don't know if it's ok but the schematic don't give exact references.

How about the Fusebits from the AVR, are you shure, that the µC runs with the right Frequency?

                              i put Lfuse = 3F anf Hfuse = D9
The crystal is a 11.0592 mhz.
