Fortune or Quasar or neither.

What are the pros and cons of these two.

Watching YouTube videos there are conflicting results.


For example Quasar air testing. Some can't get better than 35 cm even on a massive coin. Yet in another people appear to be digging small coins to this depth. Even more confusing is when coin is out of the hole its sometimes difficult to detect.


Fortune appears to be less flaky when the target is close to its maximum depth.


I feel like a new project and appreciate some feedback which would add something to my arsenal over the IDX/1265X/Bandido

hi koala, i feel the biggest problem with these projects is repeatability, and as projects become more complex it only seems to get worse.
having said that i'm not sure what the answer is, with circuits as delicate as detectors building two or three detectors the same even with identical components is not trivial, then setting up and getting them to operate the same is really hard.
so two people thousands of miles apart conversing over the internet have very little chance of getting something the same, there are so many variables it beggars belief.

Your right.

Consistency is difficult especially with the coils.

However I feel that now people are earning from YouTube there is often an ulterior motive.

I also think videos comparing product x against product y should be band. Its too easy to detune one to make the one they are promoting or sponsored by appear superior.
