How does the detector perform 3D imaging? Who can provide the principle, thank you

Easy
First of all you need some SW in background on PC, phone, etc...
So with detector you pass over line. SW record output signal from your detector every xx cm. Then you move to next line and repeat scan line. At final SW must "connect" all dot and make 3D picture.
New type of detector use phone camera. This is easier way for user and scan is more real. GoldenEye from treasurehunter3d use this method.
