  • PI detector in a single mixed signal configurable IC

I found this and thought it would be interesting for most of you. The detector uses the same principle as Pickini, it measures the width of the Rx decay and all the signal generation and processing is carried out in an extremely cheap programmable analog/digital array.

It even has an Application Note at the chip manufacturer's site and some downloads.

What does this mean, is it something we could add to our already made Pi for a discrimination ?

          Talk about synchronicity ...
I found this manufacturer a few weeks ago and am happy that you posted this,
because I was wondering if this chip would be up to par spec. wise for finding gold in saltwater conditions.
I am still messing about with the Surf PI & Baracuda.

Their programming software appears very user friendly (the website not so much for my taste) & unit price looks easy peasy.

The Silego detector does not discriminate between ferrous and non-ferrous targets.
I presume the name "Silego" comes from Silicon Lego.
