There are three older detectors I've come across which have surface blanking feature, these are Royal sabre, King cobra(same circuit as Royal sabre but without blanking), and Big bud pro. Does anyone know of any other? There are some local parks here fromway back British colonial times, need to get down under top layer for good stuff.

Coin Magnum had surface blanking.........
Coin Magnum came out first as far as I know, back in 1979 with a potted module inside the detector, with surface blanking of the top 2-1/2 inches of soil. It had no customer adjustments and worked quite well.
George Payne reverse engineered it, and came out with his Big Bud Pro units and finally ended up with an adjustable 1 inch to 4 inches of the top area.
