  • CIBOLA VS VAQUERO, WHO WINS?

CIBOLA VS VAQUERO, WHO WINS? And why? I ask this question because I don't see any difference in circuit board, so why does vaquero outshine cibola when it comes to depth? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDPj0R6JhWs
Adjustable ground balance(vaquero) vs preset ground balance(cibola)? Could someone explain why negative ground balance greatly increases depth in this video?

This Gentleman makes awesome vids about detectors, I like his style. Maybe someone who has boot machines could tell us the differences better.

I built the Bandido and it behaves the same.

First of turning the threshold up does nothing if you are using headphones. All it does is make weak signals louder but you loose the ability to judge depth as they all sound the same.

Turning the sensitivity into the red zone makes the detector unusable. Fine in a test garden where you know where the target is and only swinging a few inches either side. But in the field it is giving several beeps each sweep.

Ground balance between all metal mode and disc mode is not the same. If you set it in all metal mode you have to adjust it about 1/4 of a turn for best performance in disc mode.

I suspect the Cibola internal setting are on the safe side to stop people complaining about false signals and if you tweak them performance will be similar.
