I'm missing the 3096 but the rest worked. At this time I've tested the power and oscillator section. 80-100Hz, TX is 80-350uS, sample widths are 50uS. D is 110uS and it's 3000uS before TX. I get sample2 too close to Sample1 so I may need to re-adjust things and also freq is not too good as I need to get it to 120Hz so optimization there also be needed.

80HZ is the lowest 100hz maximum frequency insert transistors instead of ca 3096 npn beta 280 pnp beta 40 .. 2n4124 and 2n4126
I used 2N3773 - the photo few posts up there is the actual picture of my board.
The LM386 is not a big trouble, though I really felt the heat from few cm of the chip with my fingers, without the pot connected.
Once the volume pot is connected the chip behaves okay.
Tested with ~500uH coil and when the metal target is very near the coil the signal blanks out completely.
This may require higher inductance coil (1000uH)+ which I don't have, but interesting to see if that gives improvement.
