Hi all,
I want to talk about detector mechanics - I mean rods, stems - what's your favourite material for "home made" MD rods? Is it possible to buy somewhere a complete rod for a fair price?

I agree, White's has a complete 3-piece S-rod for $40, hard to beat that. The lower stem alone is $10, which is one of the cheapest you can get, and is light & rigid. The arm cup alone is $7.

The new Shadow has another S-rod I really like, very light anodized aluminum. I asked Troy about buying just the rod assembly, he was OK with it but I would also have to ask Fisher.
