no !! in the configuration 6.59khz ... no detection ... but with 18 yes !!!
the coil is not at the top and more .c is quick ..j imagine what it will give soon ...

the coil is built with the right parameters, but it's the test one. tonight with capas of 133nf on tx and 2.65 on rx the frequency was 17.9 khz .. the test of the gold nugget gives excellent result. a big thank you to you MR blobber ..

I have a cibola but I prefer my idx with a concentric of 30 cm. for modern rooms and euros .. the discrimination is really at the top. better than the tesoro. I hope to make a coil under 18khz which will have such a good held in discrim ..

Try to make DD coil, it is deeper than concentric in real soil. I have maked 38 cm DD for my idx on 16 khz. It's real beast of machine with that coil.
Air test for coins over 60 cm, also exelent result in mineralised soil.

Well done, you have good skills and a lot experiences. Good to know, that a homemade detector can be better, than a comercial one.
In the past I have made and used some PI, VLF and pinpointer too.
At the moment, I work on a second Fortuna M2 to fit in a smaller enclosure, looks promissing.

I can make one short video if u don't bealive.
It's going very good trough Roman mineralized brick for medielvil Turskish small silver coin in disc mode and that was my goal. That hard brick can pass only Deus at 18 khz.

This old and good machine can easy outperform many new factory detectors with high prices if is done good, with DD coil, at the same time will stay quiet on the field. My next coil experiment should be around 40 - 50 khz for nugget hunting.

Yes, I fully agree with you. This old machine has real good performance. I will build him a dd 32cm 18khz ... blobber, I would love to have your knowledge and your detector .. I've seen your video .... top.

Have you seen as the super specialists of "inside ..." have disappeared from the thread of this discussion .... I think sharply that their skills are limited to this book .. this book excelent elsewhere ....

Yep, I could only recommend the book for VLF IB MD's since I having only built PI type MDs but do know the BOOK covers the questions asked about setting and changing Frequency of VLF IB MDs.

Great you all sat down at the work bench and made the changes to figure out how.
