I'm using DxO Optics Pro 8 to modify photography, I'm going to analyze individual programs over the weekend - and I'm trying to do a screen scan.

Good stuff though.

You can also use "Alt" and PrtScn to just capture the active window, and miss out your desktop background etc. It may be useful, a bit.
And as mentioned , there's a new thingy called 'snipping' that is included with the newer Windows versions.

Every once in a while i "discover" all over again that nice and neat Windows component.
Crazy.
Because on each new Win installation i also do install SnagIt as my default tool for screen&area grabbing.
But i also do use Snipping Tool too... when i recall that it exist on system!

Do you have 192kHz sample rate as an option, Nino ?
Do you think it will make any real difference to the spectrum analysis ? At 96k sample/sec, he's (just) sampling more than two samples per cycle of the highest freq of interest, 40kHz.
