In relations to antenna aperture, I have used 5 different devices to collect the output of my Equinox coil.
1. a small microphone
2. a large microphone
3. a White's TDI 350 Super Pulse mono coil
4. the 5" DD coil from my F75
5. a small set of headphones
Each could identify the frequencies transmitted
The microphones caused the least interference to the detector
The 350 coil caused the most interference to the detector
The F75 5" coil gave the best representation (according to the screen shot by Carl) of the frequency 5 but caused a lot of chatter from the machine.
I also have other coils I could try but I need to make an adapter so I can insert the feed wires to the coil plug. It's just to cumbersome to strip wires and insert into the coil plug and get a good connection.
F75 11 DD coil
White's 11" dual field coil
White's 6" dual field coil
11" DD SEF coil for the V3
Fisher F22 stock coil
No idea which would be the best receiving antenna to use.
But I'm open for comments.
