      KT315,
Give me a few days and I will do that for you. My wife and I will be with family for the 4th of July festivities and since we recently moved into our new home I still have a bit of unpacking left to do unfortunately. My wife tells me I have way to much electronics and equipment but when I mention her shoes she says she needs more. Gotta keep a wife happy though. Happy wife is a happy life..

Not only the bottle caps vary in metal alloys, but also the pull tabs vary. The round pull tabs also vary from the rectangular pull tabs. In the foils, they also vary from the cigarette foils of the 1930s-1940s vary from modern foils.

So he who searches in all metal mode, will out perform anyone who searches in motion discrimination mode. I did a lot of testing of various targets back in the 1970s.

I used BFOs, IB (TR) machines, both motion and non motion discrimination machines. I got so good I could tell what most of the targets were in the city parks from their target sound. That is when I stayed with the same machlne like the Compass Yukon detectors. When I switched to other brand detectors, that knowledge no longer was applicable. So staying with one machine and really learning its abilities pays off.

If I read that right Carl, some detectors can discriminate copper from silver ?? I only ask because i'm detecting in an old school yard and I am finding 100's of pennies from the 40ies and 50's, and I only found 4 Silver coins, I am now beginning to think it was cherry picked or the coins are beyond the TGSL reach perhaps ?? the four Silvers I did find, were at the same depth as the pennies and pull tabs right around the 3 to 5 inches . Id love to hear your thoughts on it. Im half tempted to go back with the MMP and going throw the suffering of nail digging just to make sure.
