I'm thinking about how to make a Pi circuit faster.
Who has ideas?
Without a complete redesign of the circuit, or from the ground up design of a new circuit, there are certain amount of mods which can be done to surf, bara type circuits to get better performance. But when you speak of "faster", I assume that you mean sample delay.
Aside from the standard mods, and faster coil, the front end tx driver circuit and front end preamp design is the duck's guts of faster pulse machine.
Also as was noted elsewhere on forum, faster doesn't automatically mean better sensitivity to small low conductive targets.
Also choice of opamp in preamp as starting point to develop around a complete solution.
Many thousands of hours of experimentation has been done by several people here on forum, one could write several books and papers on the topic of Pulse machine.
You would have to be a real fanboy of Pulse machine electronic design to follow all the information here on forum.
Your question demonstrate that you are not.
Neither am I.
Do you know who was the winner of the contest?
Maybe time to another contest
Who can make best pulse detector with the lowest parts count and overall easy use in field. One would have to submit working prototype to judges.
There would be several criteria like battery life, depth and sensitivity, easy construction, elegant circuit etc. Micro or no micro are separate categories.
The first prize would be a choice of which member to ban here on forum.
For about 2 years I have been working with Pi circuits, I know I still have a lot to learn.
It is difficult for me because there is little information in German and I understand English poorly.
Andi, I think you would have noticed by now, KT is not exactly a Shakespearean exponent of the English language.
His poor English is sometimes mis interpreted as insult, when it is meant to be set joke.
He has a dry sense of humor, that's all.
If I misinterpreted that, then I would like to do it
to apologize.
If not, then I stand by what I wrote.
I also have difficulties with English, but not with Humor
I sometimes wish I was more competent in electronics so I could follow some of the amazing brains here on forum when they are discussing topics. But the ocean to cross is very wide at my age, I'm looking for tv dinner microwave stuff that I can chew easily with so many missing teeth
