Here in Germany there are at least 2 dealers who specialize in the sale of obsolete semiconductors.
Shipping costs are high and the semiconductors are expensive, but they are originals.

yes Andi, in this time its better to buy soviet made KR574UD1 than unknown chinese chip. i see them much on ebay selling and they are not fake.

The LM709 is also a replacement for the LF357.
I got about 20 of them from a hobbyist.

LM709? very low slew rate - 0.25. also, it is not JFET opamp. KR574UD1 has slew rate 50-80.

Also found a second hand 356. Someone told me that the old name of LF357 and 356 was 157 and 156 so both of these are very very old chips?

who gives you the guaranthy that it is not chinese crap? in modern situation is better oldest LF356 than the fake chip.
original B&B micro is done in China... biggest nonsense. use recommended SOVIET MADE KR574UD1 that you see russians and ukrainians listings on ebay.
thats sure is not fake.
