  • EXP 600 "future series"

    Hi every one
i was watching videos on youtube present and describe a metal detector called "EXP 600".
this metal detector from a German company which is called "OKM". here are the URLS:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzqqxbkqe-o&t=95s
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq7aA9xYgds
this detector as they mention is one of the "Future series".
what grab my attention is this detector use uncommon sensor shape! this sensor is just a stick used horizontal or vertical!
what is going on guys! is this real! does this detector use a different technique! or it is just a scam!

    It's a magnetometer, not a metal detector.

A Magnetometer! It is interesting, but is it reliable when it use to locate the buried metal objects?!
what is its limitations to find metal targets?
the magnetometer as i know it is able to sense the distortions in the magnetic fields of the earth
so theoretically it is not able to detect non ferrous metal like gold and silver!
I think this device is usless when it is used to locate buried treasure and the cliams of the OKM is not real!

Yes, a mag is very useful for locating ferrous targets. It can also be used to generate a magnetic map of the ground which (under good conditions) might be able to show disturbed ground or voids. But it cannot detect gold or silver directly, at all.
