I think Dilek's comment was meant to be more general: "Once we release the product, consumers will decide if it is worthy." That is true of any consumer product.

If you don't like the way things are, then change it. Create a detector review web site and start writing test reports. Although sitting on a forum and complaining, and expecting someone else to do the work you're asking for, is certainly the American Way.

You will also most likely have to pay for return shipping on an item if you " don't like it" It sounds like this is something you don't want to talk about. How about making a review of your new Equinox, Gary K. ? Once you have a decent number of hours on it, and have seen the good and not-so-good aspects, an unbiased opinion would be interesting.

I would probably find more items while some others are playing with their machines trying out all the different settings. I think most machines are made to give the consumer something to play with,such as this Invenio, but do not make one more successful. If the companies that supply detectors are promoting them by gimmicks and BS rather than by any real technical advantage, that has a lot to do with detecting. If a person would dwell on that as much as some dwell on the operation of detectors they would be not be very productive either. I hope that answers your question.

Technically, the last few years have done little.

Good points. It is not only the manufacturers that want to make money by limiting what the consumer is told. Some forums work very hard to protect those manufacturers, and may have to,to stay in business. It would be nice to see an independent source showing what new detectors are made of and how they compare to existing ones.

at that times great features when all what existed was a "shaky" 1m / 3ft
