  • Tesoro layoffs???????????????

I saw a posting a few days ago, that Tesoro was having massive layoffs of workers? Anyone know more? Hate to see those kinds of things happening. Tesoro was a great metal detector. Is this a sign of more to come in the metal detector manufacturing industry???

I also saw on Facebook that there's rumours of a possible buyer.
We probably won't know for sure until there's an official statement.

Metal detectors don't sell as before.
        There's a lot new producers.
Even more significant; lot new regional producers, covering local markets.
Classic analogue metal detectors are not that popular anymore.
Newest technology with high level of integration with smart devices and multimedia is now standard and "breaking" point to start from, if you want to achieve any market success.
And above all; there is growing unfair competition from the east.
In such conditions it is very difficult to prevail.
Tesoro is not the only one to go. A lot others will fade away soon.
I've been following the trends on local and several neighbor markets, towards metal detecting technology.
It is going worse with each year. Today is very difficult to sell metal detector here.
Market is fed up. Hobby is decaying.
Only newest md technology for industry will prevail.
And since we are living in crazy and pretty sick world; military and demining md technology is the only division to have bright future.
        ...
I always liked Tesoro detectors. I am sorry to hear such news.

I think that more people are more interested in doing youtube videos with the latest machine than they are in metal detecting. A simple to use machine is ideal for someone that is going to make an initial hunt on a property. The time they spend going over a piece of property numerous times with numerous settings would be better spent hunting property that hasn't been hunted.

A lot of people are more into playing with their machines than they are into actual metal detecting. The dwindling amount of un-searched public land is very noticeable. It is also generally harder to get permission for private property. People will need more advanced machines if they are going to hunt the same property numerous times.

If you want to be popular on youtube or if you are not going to hunt un-searched property, Tesoro machines are probably not for you. Tesoro made machines for treasure hunters.

I've been using a Lobo ST for over 15 years, even though many people say
the Tesoros have no depth performance.
He is my extended arm, I like this device - turn it on and go.
                Simple but effective

                  Don't worry KT315, tragedy don't even started.

All this is real achievement of greedy global liberalism that sold "democracy" to us.

We all vote for such one "layoffs democracy". Didn't we? Now we have it. No complain.
