  • And the correct supply voltage has to be taken.

    • It was 12V

          • At gate of MOSFET is Pulse@ 640Hertz, which is the correct pulse repetition frequency (PRF) for surf PI. You must measure this point only on oscilloscope to see waveform of signal. You need to monitor the voltage at the negative rail. You need to use good healthy batteries or power supply of 12 volts. You should have put in MOSFET and coil, then look for correct voltage at the negative rail, BEFORE putting in any other chips. This is because you need to know your rails are not sinking as a result of loading of the circuit by MOSFET and coil. Since the negative rail is taken off the gate junction. A sinking of the voltage could indicate a weak battery or power supply.
Remember not to limit the current on your PS module.

            • Hi all,,,,What happened to the Thread??,,,Didn't the project ever get finished? Silverdog (Andy) kindly supplied me with a PCB for this project and I was looking forward to seeing BKY1337 getting his unit to work,,,,,Oh well,,,Marty

              • Almost forgot about this thread. I too am curious to know results.

                • @dbanner,,,Yes, it's a pity,,,Mind you, I have learnt a few things from the thread about it before I attempt to build the pcb that Silverdog (Andy) kindly sent me. I notced on the 'Ads/For sale' that BKY1337 is selling his boards and says he hasn't finished buildng his yet? I may start building mine soon and see how far I get with it,,,Regards, Marty

                  • Did anyone made this working? I have one pcb and i might try to build, i did not see any hex for micro also.

After reading through this thread I think you would be better off building the Nano PI project.

                      • I still have my bare pcb unbuilt and no hex code either,,,Can't find enough info to build it or even whether it works or not. Regards, Marty.

                        • Hi Marty,

This project appears to not have been a successful one unfortunately. Nobody seems to have made a working unit.

                          • Hi Alec, Yes it certainly looks that way with this design. Hopefully some new projects will appear soon,,,as you're probably going into 'withdrawal' mode about now looking for new stuff to build,,Lol,,I know I am! Take care Alec, Regards, Marty.
