    Hello,

I'm looking for a project for winter, PI, but I do not know which detector to build.
Do you have any inspiration for me?

    greetings

Which PI detectors have you made so far?
Where are you intending to treasure hunt (beach, inland, Australian outback)?

        What about Pi-Tone (Python).
Its a simple Pi Metal detector but uses a microcontroller.

I built the Surf, Baracuda and Sandbanks clone.
Even the pirate, but I did not like it.
I am searching in Germany, inland.
A circuit without microcontroller I would prefer

That's a lot of PI detectors so far. I'm not sure about your goal, do build again only PI. Would it not be more interesting to try a VLF, to separate the difference in iron and not iron?
I would suggest IDX-Pro in this case, because it's not complicated, but with a good range.

If you're searching inland, then you should probably go for a VLF design like the TGSL.
Otherwise you could try the Minipulse Plus if you want to build another PI.

i think his winter project will be Quasar ARM and pustareka will tell us about in his too wild russospanglish.

Last winter I put together a TGSL and I was rather pleased with it (best season of metal detecting loot), you can also try the IDX pro, or a lobo, All three of these are VLF, for inland would be a better choice over a PI, you can easily find used or new coils for them if, making your own VLF coil is out of your technical knowhow

King Cobra is open project now, like i promised and done. you can order PCB yourself and sell them where you want - in this forum or ebay, in any amount you want.
you also can call it like you want. FULLY FREE.

Andi already has a lobo. I think he doesn't want to build a vlf.

I think he likes the Tiny 2002.

Since you have built several PI detectors that do NOT use a microcontroller my suggestion is to go for one with a microcontroller.
This allows a lot more experimentation of pulse and sample timing as well as Ground Balance, etc.
Check my Hammer Head project using a microcontroller (PIC processor) to see what experimentation can be done.

Also sounds like LEARNING to program a microcontroller is a good next step for you since they are used everywhere now and for very good reasons.
