  • Tesoro Ground Balance pot resistance

My mind is slipping...................can't seem to find my notes.
Doing a external ground balance on a Tesoro Silver Saber II.
Trimpot on board is a ISKRA 100K and factory preset at 28.7K

Looking down at the trimpot, when adjusted clockwise resistance goes toward 0K. Adjusting counter clockwise it goes to 100K

When adjusting towards 0K is the ground balance going negative? Or positive?

Pins marked in red and blue are only used and go to the circuit board.

I have the detector apart, desoldered the parts. Otherwise I could have powered it up and checked before hand.

Look for silver sabre schematic drawn by W.lhar. He indicates trimmers. From this you can deduce the correct orientation.( Increasing or decreasing resistance)
From this I think it might be possible to know if phase shifting is increasing or decreasing, without having to put to oscilloscope.

(from schematic)Reducing trimmer resistance reduces time constant, shifting GB towards negative I think?
I can be completely wrong of course. Not an expert.
