In the video post by Eddy, author state that when using 9volt battery the performance is worse, so my first advise to you is to try 12 volts. Second advise is to build different diameter and parameters coils. Good luck.

i will try 12 volt battery or 9 volt batteriy with DC DC step up to 12 volt.
for the coil, have you experience or can you suggest different build but simple?

Another thing to consider is adjustable damping to experiment with various coils. I spent considerable time on this Russian pirate pi, never got more than six inches or so on coins.
Good for pinpointer for Beach sand.
Build something more complex like bara or surf, don't waste your time for 10 inches from this circuit, you'll never get it.
