        but a question remain ....
I have used this battery many times in field !! so it's is the battery life finished after many recharges ... consider this battery is probably from 2012 but other two batteries are new...

i have cleaned the PCB too .. ??

sorry for pictures KT315 i'll collect all the data from this "experience" and post here for future reference ok ?

his only problem is the inability to estimate the batt capacity.

              http://www.learningaboutelectronics....nal-resistance

All batteries have some internal resistance to some degree.

Batteries have internal resistance because the elements that make it up aren't perfect conductors. The electrodes and electrolytes aren't 100% conductive. So they will have some resistance (internal resistance) in them.

Well it's good that you got the thing working again, especially after messing around with the wiring etc.
Even the very best technicians are not achieving easy reassembly of any device. Simply device with few wires give some severe headache.
Apparently you are talented in this regard, even to the point of not replacing the battery as the first option.

Some Chinese made batteries are notorious poor quality, but there are also others of very best quality made in China as well. It really depends on the manufacturer/supplier.
I also have fallen victim by purchasing Energizer batteries(P.R.C). Should have known something was wrong when the bunny looked more like an opossum.
They were being sold by some local owned supermarkets in my country, operated by, you guessed it.

i was not thinking at battery because i have used for years batteries line this and not problems arise.
this Is not an excuse for overlooking simple things at First.
i have read the post of kt315 too that states that internal resistente of battery increase with battery consumption.
i'm not an engineer i'm a geologist recycled in maps and remote sensing works... but lets Say that if the detector was a my design i Will certanly implement the battery test to work witout the detector main circuit so you can know the real state of the battery even if the detector never staffe
