I have not had a chance to take The Black Pearl out yet. I live in downtown Washington, DC. Concrete Jungle. Any green land is government controlled and off limits to metal detecting. I need to drive one hour to get to civilization.

Instead of a Bulgarian kit, I bought a Deeptech Vista Smart+ for about the same investment. this should give me a taste of that high gain .bg detector style I've been reading about, plus an iron volume knob which seems promising.

The Black Pearl looks interesting on the bench. Very hot, however EMI is a challenge where I live. I am a radio amateur and most of the time I can't even operate due to extremely high noise levels. I can turn up sensitivity well beyond a usable point on the Black Pearl. Air test is impressive.

Presuming this Black Pearl is a Pirate flavor Fortune M platform, how do I get into the service menu to look around?
