Why not posting a second thread at the Schematics sub-forum?

What puzzles me is why spend so much efforts to make such junk?
There is something not adding up.
Perhaps it is what send people to other side too soon.

I became much more tolerant within the years. I guess it's the life experience and lot of personal head against the wall situations.
It is always easier to stand aside and criticize, find weak sides, drawbacks ... at somebody else's works and efforts.
But you can not fully understand somebody without walking in his shoes, at least for a moment.
So i'll rather stay away from judging and placing any kind of criticism on this particular example.
I just explained my own personal experience with that detector. It is always possible that i completely failed to handle it properly.
And it is also possible that exactly that type of detector is made particularly for locating ONLY large masses and remain deaf on small targets.
              Who knows?
When searching for "military", underground facilities, bunkers etc; you don't want sensitivity on small nails and similar junk, usually scattered around.
Everything is possible. Any kind of explanation and excuse.
That's the "beauty" of metal detecting.
At the time my criticism was leaded by the fact of the hot prices of those models. Maybe i was blinded all the way, having in mind the prices on the first place.
In meantime i learned how tough and expensive is to even try to develop a product for market.
So many obstacles ... everything is simply turned aggressively against you, your ideas and your efforts.
Market is pretty hostile environment. If you are small and beginner. If you are trying to make your way through it.
It's just like simply EVERYBODY wants you to fail and bust! Even in niches. Everybody wants your blood and sudden death.

So therefore the price. You passed long hell trip and you want something to return back.
You don't have choice. You are not Chinese. You don't have time and options.
This is terrible trap. Once you fall in; you can't exit easy and without heavy wounds.
              Compromises. Ugly compromises all around.
              ...
              Why somebody do something?
Why White's still have TM808 in their offer?
Why anybody have two box in the offer?
Why anybody have fully analogue and simple design in offer?
Why would anybody still produce large VLF I/B coils, larger than 32cm?
              ...
Because there is always a customer for particular product.
Only thing to correct/adjust is the price.
Ask Chinese, they are the ultimate experts in that area.
They sell zillions of such products and nobody complains.
