  • Detecting Wooden Arrows

I am trying to decide on the best type of metal detector to build but am struggling to understand the best one for my use. I need to detect lost arrows over a large area of grass. The arrows are wooden with a brass point and have 3 strips of aluminium foil wrapped round them. they have a tendency to bury themselves under the grass I need to be able to search a large area of grass which has random metallic rubbish underneath , which is the reason I use three strips of foil so I can listen for the 3 signals. Any suggestions on what would be the best type of detector to use.

Any VLF detector that can discriminate ferrous from low conductors (brass, aluminium).

It would help if we knew which continent you live on.
