    This reminds me of a military microwave sweep generator at a place I used to work in the 80's. They designed it to use active noise cancellation on the ground. It was so quiet in the antenna room that the test team thought it wasn't turned on.

      Yes, that does work well and we use this technique to shield sense cables and still have high frequency response for the potentiostats we design and build where I work.

      Would work for VLF detectors since the oscillator output Voltage is within the Rails of op amp buffer but probably not for PI detectors due to the high Voltage kick back.
