  • AC millivoltmeter with adequate frequency response

    This circuit might be employed for measuring output at Rx preamp. The typical multimeter sucks at measuring higher freq. sine waves.
    At the very least, its a cool vintage project.

    Also, it has very high input impedance, so does not adversely affect the circuit being measured. Nowadays, everybody frowns upon analog meters, but they are so cool. In any event, the circuit can be easily adapted for digital multimeter. Although I have not analysed the circuit, I see strange unijunction transistor.

      I don't. I do see a 2N3819 which is a JFET and still readily available.

        You are right! My eyes have deceived me. I must have been looking at some other ancient circuit. I'm looking through some old magazine pdfs lately.
