Series resonance

Still haven't figured out why. Can anybody shed some light on this subject. Why use series resonance instead of parallel in coil. What benefits if any.

a benefit is not so evident. that is a current that you can increase to go to the current resonanse.

If I understand you then it just depends on the design. At resonance the reactance of L & C in-parallel is maximum, while in-series it's minimum.

parallel - resonance of voltage. series - resonance of current.
