and i found this cheep coil also from ebay
    .

i was wondering what capasitors do i need to add to make this coil grate (agen) ???....

i think this (Tesoro Lobo) board was originally modded by the members on this forum .
so what other or better please to ask

It is not a coil for Lobo.
You got misinformed. (false claims on advertisement)
You can not make it work good with Lobo.

Ok i did some googeling and here is what i found

      Tesoro Laser Hawkeye
      Frequency: 10 kHz

      Tesoro Tejon
      Frequency: 17.5 kHz

      Tesoro trident
      14.3 kHz

      Tesoro lobo
      17.5 kHz

but if i louck at NEL coils one NEL coil can be used whit

What you have there is the kit for "older series" Lobo model with specific RX&TX coil specs. Pay attention on inductance more than to focus only on working frequency.
And Nel advertise the coil which supposedly covers Tejon and Lobo at the same time, just as well... which is highly suspicious claim too.
You see; Tejon and Lobo Super Traq belongs to "new" series of Tesoro models. Even than; i think that coils for Tejon and Lobo Super Traq differs much in the morphology.
And you here are having Lobo kit for model from "older" series. With coil specs pretty much different than the "brown" coil you showed on the link.
Pretty confusing for someone who isn't following the Tesoro history and the timeline of their products.
So, no, i don't think that you will have any success with Nel coil either.
What you have to do is to look up for the Lobo coil from older series. The first Lobos.
Or to make your own coil respecting primarily the specs i gave you on that list.
        Boomer...

On second thought; Tejon and Lobo Super Traq even may share the same coils, since inductance is pretty close.
          Nel advertisement could be alright.

But this do no good to you, because you have "older" series Lobo pcb. The "early" Lobo.
So you have to search for coil with specs:

          Tx = 1.35mH - 12 ohms
          Rx = 9-10mH - 55 ohms

On third look... maybe Nel coil will be alright.
I know for sure that coils for Tejon are having inductance TX= ~1mH and RX= ~15mH.
It is small difference from what you need.
Read this article, maybe will help you:

thanks for all your info i will sit down and read all your posts later after my doughtier has gone to bed .

its sad that this coil that i bought will not fit , the seller was nice and help full
and i haw to study the coil when it arrives to me , the lobo kit is also on its way.
my dream is to build a coil , but i wanted to start out whit a coil that was working and the coil that i bought was priced in a way that i could afford it , the rest off all the coils ar a bit expensive for me .

Look at the bright side of this; now you have PERFECT coil to make TGSL, IGSL or any other "wannabe Tesoro" from older series.
This forum is fed up with schematics splendidly and accurately traced by William Lahr.
You loose nothing. You actually are in winning position.

you do not have to be worry. you can use different coil than sure lobo, just tune a cap on your pcb for 'working' frequency, 'in-resonance'.

but it also make me have to start to try to build a coil for the the PCB kit , is there any info and some one that can set me on the way to do this ?

what i have or some of this is on the way still.

do i nead to build a
Phasemeter for perfect coils to ??????

and is there any youtube videos and or Pdf files that i can follow ???

i found this Youtube video is it enough to make what he have on the bred bord ? ( i wish i had the part list and the schematics )
                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zS9OSgp0Cs

and i think i will make a mold like this

but its important to not spend although off money doing this , im not suppose to go into making coils for selling , it was because i have to save money
i should just have bought a expensive coil, but there is also som ting in my head that need to do this and before it is done its not going to go away

any help in sending me on the right way is appreciated

yes i hope so to but is it to big a difference 10 Khz( like most likely the coil is meant for ) to 17.5 Khz (that the pcb bord wants and works best whit)

Post #6, the PDF file... read it.
                        ...
Simple tuning with capacitor to desired frequency is not the solution.
You'll get poor performances ... if any.
Coils are "balanced" to suit and match given frontends.
Simple tuning by adding or removing the capacitance is sort of "brute force" and it will dramatically affect the phase relations.
What you may freely expect are very poor performances.
You have there ~5.7mH TX coil and ~6.2mH RX coil at that "brown" search head.
Compare those to wanted 1.35 and 10mH as proper specs for Lobo coil.
Even without trying it must be obvious to you that there are slim or none chances to make any success with that coil and that pcb.
                        Enough from me.
Sometimes is better to learn on own personal experiences.
                        Cheers!

and a top performances is what i want , and tought i would get from the coil that i bought.

                            pin 1 and 3 = 4.7 Ohm 89 mH
                            pin 2 and 4 = 85.6 Ohm 16.3 mH

this forum has information. just use/drive up ADVANCED SEARCH engine of it.
i have 6 GB of the forum information. for small money you get the DVD and can take files from it and put back again in forum,
like recycling bin of paper and plastic you bring everyday.
