Received my Aquasearch V2 in the mail yesterday morning. Went out and spent about 4 hours in the water yesterday afternoon. It functioned flawlessly, or so I thought. After I left the water I saw condensation inside the case. I immediately removed the batteries and dried everything out when I returned home. Everything working fine but obviously there is a sealing problem with the case. I looked everything over carefully and could find no reason it should not be sealing. I did notice the sealing latches didn't seam very tight so its possibly not enough pressure on the gasket. I was told the seals cannot be replaced. I may have to find another waterproof housing for it. I'm looking for a possible source for another housing it will fit in. The inside case measurements are approximately 4x6x3 inches. any help on finding a source would be appreciated.

Also buy some expanding soldering foam pads.
Cut them to fit inside the lower portions of the box that face downward and in other places water could roll to.
The foam expands when it gets wet soaking up any water in the box. It could just save your electronics.
The desiccant packs are also a good thing, I always stick a couple in the box before closing.
There are o-ring companies that can make new orings or sell a kit that allows you to make one yourself.
For example https://www.oringswest.com/?_vsrefdo...SAAEgJSpvD_BwE

Some good advice here Deborah- be sure to spray the board with a protectant in case there's any salt water splashed on--get some Deoxit from an electronics supply store--or at least a high quality contact spray. Also eye your board for any white spots of corrosion if so brush it off with a toothbrush. Likely just a bit of condensation from the temp change though. Try and get a good supply of Silca Gel as they can hold moisture and affect performance. swap them out after the next time you run it. Take your gasket out and make sure there's no grit on it or in the seating channel too. Windex is a good gasket cleaner. Bit of a handful for a first pulse I've owned a few. Should not be any problem with the latches if it's new.

Tried it out again yesterday afternoon after completely removing and cleaning the seal and where the seal seats. Still having moisture problems. I'm going to try to find a new seal or have one made at a local seal and gasket company before I do anything else.

If you close the case with high humidity and temperature (typical Florida weather) then put it in the ocean (much cooler) any humidity inside WILL CONDENSATE.
This is the same as putting ice into a glass of water. The humidity in the air condensates onto the glass.

I dried the unit out very well, added desiccant packs and silicon grease was used properly on the old o-ring. I think the old o-ring was just sitting compressed for years. When I close the case top, there is hardly any resistance to closing the case and hardly any tightness to closing the latches.

Problem solved! Found an exact replacement box from https://gsioutdoors.com/lexan-s-gear-box.html size small. Measures- 6.5" x 5.0" x 3.4" (165 x 127 x 86 mm). When I received the box in the mail today I was pleasantly surprised it was exactly the same as the box on the AQ Aquasearch V2. The seal seams to have been improved as far as firmness. After receiving the box I called the company and ordered 2 extra seals. The product is #73506 Lexan S Gear Box. from GSI Outdoors Inc. located in Spokane, Wa. Phone (509) 928-9611. They also have other sizes of waterproof boxes.I hope this helps a few others.
