i say again DB in new BH is not 9V batteries. ABSENT. they do CONVERTED power supply.

Huh? Yes, you can use boost power supply unit (DC/DC converter) with dual supply and a virtual ground. That is perfect solution. The downside is you draw more current from your batteries to boost the voltage.

You can replace with a single battery, just identify which terminals are in series by doing a continuity test. Then you could run the audio off of a regulator. Simple mod, really. Look at the bounty junior schematic on the left bottom of the page, if the tracker 4 is the same (you'll have to inspect your circuitry) then its a breeze to use a single battery, as only the meter and audio run off of 9V. You could put a 9V regulator instead, and do a little re-wiring.
the pcb is the same! identically of Fast Tracker
VR1 is a pot of ground ballance?
are there improvements to change with external or tuning a pre-existing?
        someone did it?

          You are a really good!
thanks a lot and i will buy a dual DC DC!

Some time ago I recall some thread here on forum where somebody tried very hard to improve the performance of the Tracker4, but to no avail. His efforts were primarily aimed at the Tx oscillator. I suspect that it can be done, but would require much re-engineering to the original circuit in terms of component values, gain and filtering, perhaps using better opamps etc. Maybe even bypassing the tone notch channel. A task not worth the effort. For a few dollars more, you could climb out of the quagmire.
A 10 inch DD coil might offer some benefit.

especcialy projected coil preamp will improve the perfomance of the BH. 1-2 inch growth to depth. i do slowly because my experience here with LC resonance tester and opamp tester had showed that people do not want to help themself. why ground balance pot who did say about if you turn all trimmers on board you get depth
while First Texas did turn all pots before you? me? DB? walter? not. thats is sure just your fantazy and strong belief in Black Magic and Miracle.
so better draw Runes on the coil and the box. must work.
