I have clicked a few links on the Ali pages and they (md6250) can be bought for as little as $88 aus dollars , thats quite amazing if they work

The first problems of the MD 6250 owners have already appeared. First, the coil leaks and causes the continuous false responses.
Second, the coil fails to operate because of a side impact (for example, with a rock or tree). After such an impact the metal detector starts to give a response to any trembling of the coil. No matter whether there is a target under the coil or not ? there will always be a response.

The coil issues on the fake chinese ACE250(MD6250) coil can be remedied. For under 100USD, you get the control box, which as I understand it, is exactly the same PCB and software. You can take the coil apart and do a rebuild with proper shielding etc. You can even build your own coil, why not?Comment
