A postscript to previous events, should you have followed them:
Firstly, the web page which caused the trouble has now by all accounts been removed from the Internet.
Secondly, the page did not belong to "Proscan". While I thought that my information was sound, it was a mistake. I wish to apologise to Proscan for this, and for any distress I might have caused him.
Thirdly, the concept in question was first unveiled in the electronics press in late 2003, in the USA. By all accounts, there is no earlier publication.
I regret that I won't be reading replies here, but am supplying my e-mail address. I have tended to be too free with my pre-publication designs. This was placing not only me but also my publishers in a vulnerable position.
