Newbie questions - DIY

Hi All - I am new to this site and would welcome any information on the maturity of DIY designs available here. I built an ETI design years ago and have looked at the ETI1500 BUT I see that it requires a pre-built coil which is probably no longer available. I also see that a number of projects on this site appear to have problems with 'faulty' schema or other 'missing' information. Are there any good designs here that are complete and proven?

hi. the perfomance of any design is just your right work and ended result. all in your hand.
no faulty schema. no missing info. i see you try to turn up your fantazy.
all projects are good and working.
yes, there are people learning electronics basics on metal detectors. they are not able 'read' the schematics with their zero level.
all schematics are SIMPLEST.
all in your hand. when you cover up your wife you do not ask a help from aside men. you do all yourself. right?

The Mini Pulse Plus and the Geotech Barracuda are both proven projects with step by step build documents easily downloaded here on the site.
