A fellow detectorist from our local forum had dropped his ML80 headphones and needed to open them up for repair.
He was disappointed about the poor build quality for a pair of headphones costing 180?.
The speaker had come loose but could easily be fixed again.
He then searched a little further and came up with this exact copy = Marmitek Boomboom 577: same look, buttons, LEDs, hard case, user manual ... etc but they cost only 80 €? ...

The only difference, apart from the price, is the logo.
And probably some proprietary settings by ML that prevent the Equinox from pairing with a stock Marmitek ?
Can someone confirm/deny this - or is there a hack already on the Marmitek ( wishful thinking)?
I know that on some serial to BT modules you can alter all configuration settings with special commands. Not sure if the Marmitek can also be forced into this mode ?
