  • Tesoro Eldorado and Idx pro resonance.

Good evening to all the members of this Forum, I need your help, my question is, a few years ago I made two metal detectors treasure eldorado, but after numerous tests, and having failed to have a working ground balance, I put them on part, then I made idx pro by buying the pcb from silverdog, the same worked the first time. These days reading on the forums I managed to make the two eldorado work. My question to you Gurus, does the IDX need a tune-up with the resonance between TX and RX as in the eldorado, or not. In eldorado to be able to cut ferrite / GB it is essential to find the right resonance. Thanks for your kind reply.

    - It is better to spill a few drops of brandy from the glass when you carry the glass to your mouth than to forget where you hid the opened bottle.

you want a small ferrite slug to be nulled out at about half way through the ground balance range.

Once achieved there's nothing to be gained by changing except in air tests

I just asked the two metal detectors for your opinion, thanks for those who answered.

I don't have the Eldorado but IDX vs Bandido the Bandido is a clear winner "IN THE FIELD" better discrimination and true no motion mode.

The IDX preforms better on the bench. And will probably depend on your ground conditions.

I used both for several years. With real in the field settings, both with 10" coil the Bandido hits a target on my lawn that the IDX will not without lower the discrimination to a point where you would be digging iron all day
