I have attached meanwhile my second Makro Racer from 2015 with a Pinpoint-Only Mode switch
and I am still using it, because it offers everything I need and it can find with the 40cm coil with
vibration on even 13mm small coins if they are not too deep!
Without vibration it would be 50% deeper but I don't care as long as the woods are full with stuff!
And I am really RACING through those woods otherwise I would find much less.
One of the detectors broke into 2 halfs this year incl. the battery-unit cables ripped off
because those thin Alu-stems with their holes are not really made for the 40cm coil weight
but I could repair it and the electronics incl. display part is still top after almost 6 years !!!
This is great Turkey-China cooperation quality !!! Not everything from China is junk.
And you can learn from this: Be prepared that stems might faster break if you use larger coils!
This is experience which you will not find inside of the oh so smart treasure-hunting books.
Of course it might be not innovative (every year having and wanting the newest inventions
and improvements) and all the MD-dealers are not happy with such "older" devices loving,
using and respecting (or even self-repairing ... *laugh*) people - but on the other hand:
Do you really think that you do yourself a favor with learning each year from start the
features and behaviour of the new and often just MONEY-WASTING detector ???
For sure not !!! Because it takes at least 100 hours of field-practize to know the MD in and out.
Most are just fooling and playing around anyway and want each year their new toy !!!
And they have NO RESPECT for technology because they throw everything which is a little
bit older away !!! Very stupid while they wanna find the oldest artifacts and relics! *laugh*
So you better respect your OLD BUT GOLD detectors and don't let yourself fool from the
newest advertising and promotion about how extremely fantastic the newest detector is!
Next year this MD will be no longer the newest, anyway, and time can go by very fast.
If you are a manipulated consume-idiot its your own fault if you just waste money!
