Thank you for sharing your work, it's performing pretty well.
Far bellow comparing to my XP Deus... yet not bad at all for such medium class detector.
    I am pleasantly surprised.
    I had F2, F4, F5, F70, several Bounty Hunters...
Only F70 was real piece of work. And F5 was interesting too.
Others all very modest. Lower class.
Eurotek Pro is better than F4 and worse than F5. Much worse than F70.
Better than most of the Bounty Hunters that i saw so far.
But you may consider it now as "trimmed". I guess many of others will perform better too, if trimmed also.
I don't understand those guys from First Texas at all !??
Those machines are done pretty well from the designing standing point.
And yet not performing as one would expect!??
They seems don't finished them properly. Something is missing there.
Although i don't like COG displays; i have nothing to remark on those.
Yet i have terrible remark on those "membrane" keyboards, so short lasting, on all models.
And seems stock coils sucks big time!

Maybe Carl has some answers for you. I think it's cheap in the US.
How many milliamps does it consume? I see it works with 9volts, sounds very interesting to me
Tried many batteries and they won't last long at 30mA consumption.

Could you trace back the Tx and Rx circuits?

I haven't measured current drain, but it is obvious it is low consumer, so 9V will last long.
I could trace some parts, but i didn't.
It is pointless. As long as there is uPc (MCU) that holding the code and main functions.
I wouldn't be surprised if its frontend circuitry is very similar to Fisher F2 circuitry.
And F2 schematic is available... posted somewhere on forum.
It is very small SMD, my eyes does not serves me well anymore, so lately i do avoid such tortures as tracing out the circuitry.
