Has anybody ever explored the counterfeit Garrett pro pointers to see how the differ from a real one and maybe to modify to work better?

Reason why I ask is because I bought a counterfeit one (on purpose) and it works pretty good. It can pick up metal at about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches away. I don’t have a reel one to compare it to and that’s why I’m asking. I’m going to take this apart but would like to compare it to a reel Garrett pro pointer. Anybody got any pictures? -
