Hi all and thanks for acceptance. I am trying to do a recearch on an old construction caled the gold gun.I know you dont discuss lrls anymore but there are some sites that link here and some usefull info may be lying in here somewhere.Unfortunately i cant find any.I dont want to start a thread for the gold gun since you dont do this anymore. All i need is if any one can point old threads that may be of use.If this thread is in the wrong place admins please help! Thanks in advance!!!

To find the old threads you have to use the search correctly, at the top right hand corner of the page there is the white search box, inside the box type "gold gun" you must use the quotes
or it finds every thread that has the single word GOLD or GUN in it, your search result should give 23 threads.

The Gold Gun was not an LRL in the traditional sense of an outright scam. I believe it's a directional AM receiver which could be used to locate conductive ore bodies. However, the way it was marketed was highly deceptive.

Whats the theory of using a AM receiver ?, does the received signal increase when you walk over the ore body ?

The AM Broadcast band in the USA is 530 kHz to 1700 kHz.
From Wikipedia:
"Medium wave (also known as Medium frequency (MF)), which is by far the most commonly used AM broadcasting band.
